As the law of valve movement is related to the power and operating characteristics of an engine, camshaft design plays a very important role in the process of engine design. Usually, it has a high speed and bears periodic impact load, and needs to bear a lot of torque, so the design of camshaft requires high strength and support, and its material is generally high-quality alloy steel or alloy steel.
The contact stress between cam and tappet is very large, and the relative sliding speed is also very high, so the wear of cam working surface is serious. In view of this situation, camshaft journal and cam working surface should not only have higher dimensional accuracy, smaller surface roughness and enough stiffness, but also have higher wear resistance and good lubrication.

Brief Introduction of CBN Products:
Cubic boron nitride (CBN) grinding wheel has only a very thin layer of CBN particles adhered to the surface of ordinary grinding wheel. The toughness, hardness and durability of CBN particles are 100 times higher than those of corundum grinding wheel. CBN grinding wheel is suitable for machining hard to grind steel with high hardness, high viscosity, high high temperature strength and low thermal conductivity, and for high speed or ultra high speed grinding.
When grinding steel, especially special steel, the effect of diamond grinding wheel is not obvious. The grinding efficiency of CBN wheel is about 100 times higher than that of corundum wheel and five times higher than that of diamond wheel, but the grinding efficiency of CBN wheel is lower than that of diamond wheel.
The selection of CBN grinding wheel is similar to that of diamond grinding wheel. But in the selection of bond, most of them are resin bond. Ceramic bonded CBN wheel is mainly used for grinding titanium alloy, high speed steel, malleable iron and other difficult to process ferrous metals. Resin bonded CBN wheel is suitable for grinding ferromagnetic materials, which is an ideal choice for processing steel.
CBN grinding wheel concentration is generally in the range of ~ 150%, which is more economical and reasonable. It can not use ordinary cutting fluid, but needs special cutting fluid or dry grinding.
Precautions for use:

Please check carefully before installing the cutting wheel. If there is any gap or other damage, please stop using it.

When the cutting wheel is marked with the rotation direction, it should be consistent with the rotation direction of the machine tool. On the contrary, the cutting is not sharp, and it is difficult to give full play to the performance of the cutting wheel.

Please do not use the cutting wheel that does not meet the requirements.

If any abnormality is found in the cutting process, stop the machine immediately and check the cause.

When the cutting is not sharp, the grinding wheel should be trimmed. If it is used continuously, the grinding wheel may be damaged due to overheating and overload.

When the grinding wheel rotates, it is strictly forbidden to cut by hand, let alone touch the sand by hand and body

The cutting wheel is forbidden to be used in operations other than grooving or cutting, so as to avoid abnormal operation due to uneven stress.
